THE EAGLE DREAM (Segun Peters)

   Of all the creatures that God created, the Eagle seems to me to be the most awe-inspiring. With strong wings it lifts its mighty bulk effortlessly up in the air. Far above every living creature it glides. Up on the mountains that no birds could dare venture; this awesome creature builds for itself a comfort zone. It
dominates heights that other birds could only dream of, and my younger brother, David’s favorite, the Eagle is the only creature that look directly into the sun. An awe-inspiring creature indeed!
            Can you imagine the mortal man to possess the will of the Eagle and dominate its soul? This man is the one that has realised the Eagle Dream. His arms are empowered just like the Eagle wings so that he should be lifted up among his kind. He should rise above men and their philosophies and seek dreams that the limited man cannot fathom. Goals and visions that his companions may label impossible are what he reaches out for, and yet he possesses the spirit and will to achieve it. As the Eagle dares to look into the sun, he comes face to face with his realities and he is undaunted. That is an awe-inspiring man indeed!
Who I am and what things I have done are not necessary for me to be found credible by your judgements. In fact, my achievements are not enough to awe and inspire; yet! For this reason, I invite you to share my hope. To share in a man’s hope is to believe in his dream. And my dream is the Eagle dream, i.e., to possess the will of the Eagle and to dominate its soul. This is what my adopted alias stands for Spate_gle  (pronounced spat eagle)
                The Eagle wouldn’t fly without the boost from the motion of air. The motion of air moves against the Eagle’s will and the Eagle shall struggle and eventually fall to the ground. But if the motion of air supports the will of the Eagle, it shall soar and glide, even swiftly across the skies. I am the Eagle and you are the motion of air. Your support through this platform i.e. Spate_gle’s Blog will give me the Eagle Vantage, and so is anyone who chooses to adopt along with me the Eagle Dream.
Remember, to share a man’s hope is to believe in his dream.
